About Toluidine Blue
Toluidine Blue O is a basic thiazine dye closely related to methylene blue. It dissolves in water to give a blue to violet solution.
It is metachromatic: it stains some tissue components, such as mast-cell granules and cartilage, purple-red while others stay blue.
