Reference electrodes
The active material of saturated calomel reference electrodes for pH and potential measurement.
Also known as Mercurous chloride and Mercury(I) chloride
Mercury(I) chloride with a minimum 99.6% assay and no detectable mercuric salt, for calomel electrodes and research.
Calomel is mercury(I) chloride, a dense white powder that is practically insoluble in water.
Its best-known use is in the saturated calomel electrode, a stable reference electrode for electrochemical measurements. We test every batch for mercuric salt, which must be absent.
Every batch is released against these limits. Ask for the specification sheet with your quote.
