COD analysis
Masks chloride interference in the dichromate COD test for water and wastewater.
Powder
Also known as Mercury(II) sulfate and Mercuric sulfate
Mercury(II) sulphate with a minimum 99% assay, used to mask chloride in COD analysis.
Mercuric Sulphate is a white crystalline mercury(II) salt. It dissolves in hot dilute sulphuric acid to give a clear, colourless solution.
Environmental laboratories use it in the chemical oxygen demand (COD) test, where it binds chloride that would otherwise interfere with the result.
Every batch is released against these limits. Ask for the specification sheet with your quote.
