Also known as Acriflavine base, Neutral acriflavine and Euflavine
The neutral form of acriflavine: an acridine fluorochrome that gives a near-neutral solution, for staining, culture media and aquaculture.
Acriflavine Neutral is a mixture of 3,6-diamino-10-methylacridinium chloride and 3,6-diaminoacridine, supplied without the extra hydrochloric acid carried by Acriflavine Hydrochloride. A 5% solution in water is clear, with a pH of about 4.5 to 7.5.
Like the hydrochloride, it binds nucleic acids and fluoresces strongly, so it is chosen where a method calls for acriflavine but a less acidic solution is needed.
Every batch is released against these limits. Ask for the specification sheet with your quote.

A selective agent in enrichment and isolation media used by food and water testing laboratories.
Used in hatchery and ornamental-fish water-care products, and to protect fish eggs from fungus during incubation.
We pack Acriflavine Neutral in sealed containers suited to the product, from laboratory bottles to bulk packs. Every container carries the product name, batch number, dates and hazard labels. Tell us the pack size and quantity you need.
Read the MSDS for full hazard, first-aid and disposal information.
Ask for any of these and we will email them with your quote.
It contains the same acridine dyes without the extra hydrochloric acid, so its solution is close to neutral (pH 4.5 to 7.5). Choose it when your method needs a less acidic solution.
Tell us the quantity you need. We will suggest the right pack, from laboratory bottles to bulk packs, with your quote.
Send your specification with your enquiry. Our team will confirm which limits we can meet before you order.
